Growing up in Barbados, a rainy day in the summer months meant an indoor day, just like for children everywhere. As an adult though, I now find happiness when it rains: relief from the heat; a change of pace/vibration in the land; a real quietude prevailing. And as a photographer, it also means especially pleasing, soft light. Today has been no different. The toadstools called forth from the soil by our rainy days were my delight this time 'round. These were taken in our garden which has suffered the unusually large number of dry days this year. Enjoy...

The truth, remember, will set you free. "See well then", I say to myself, (just feeling philosophical these days...)

Took brief stroll down to Consett Bay yesterday. I found things grey and blue and forbidding and things found me much the same. That's life I suppose, and its all good, as they say!
