A New Year's Post

The weather has been brilliant in these days of December and January, the New Year  inviting to more than just visitors to our island!  I've been shamed into going out and shoot by the mere thought of my friends in the colder climates who have been chased indoors by winter storms or of our closer neighbours in the Leeward islands who were pummeled by raging storms at Christmas.  And so here are just a few shots from this morning's effort.  They feature a fine spider web (with it's dubious owner, a rather half-cocked spider!), my favourite birds, the Sandpipers (always ready to do a dance for photographers), some techni-coloured driftwood and a curious sparrow.  There were, in fact, many beautiful scenes on this sun-drenched morning in Oistins (on the south coast of Barbados) but I'm happy my muse led me to these simple scenes, getting me to dust off my own cobwebs while also reminding me to cool my ambitious heels a bit.

A Peaceful, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to you!
